A medical device manufacturer approached Cases by Source looking to have their
surgical products displayed in groups based on tools/devices that were used
for specific procedures - overall, there were a few hundred different components.
They wanted a stylish case that would allow the sales force to make a make a
powerful presentation.

Response |
Our sales and engineering team worked with the customer to develop 30 different
kits featuring all their tools used in medical procedures. For the initial kits,
Source received all the parts to be displayed in the cases. More recently, Source
was provided with CAD drawings of the parts which provided enough technical
information to allow us to propose the optimal layout even though parts were
not available.

| The
Solution and Results |
Source designed a series of wood cases fabricated from maple with a cherry stain
and lacquered finish. The top edge of the case is routed and a lift off lid
fits into the recess. Both the lid and front panel are laser engraved with the
company identification and logo. The interior is fitted with a die cut flocked
black foam insert. Each cavity is layered to the appropriate height so all components
are at the same level. A photo etched aluminum label identifies each product.
Our customer's sales force is now equipped with a series of sales kits to demonstrate
all the procedures their tools are designed for. The cases are also used to display
products at trade shows.
