News breaks all around us…and we grab our cameras, cell-phones and precious handheld devices to capture it all. With a pulse on ever-evolving technology, our client came to us looking for a custom case that could up the ante. Their goal was to empower everyone with an internet connection and a camera to broadcast live to a global audience via the company’s Web-based platform. Our goal was to provide a case that could help make it possible.

The client challenged Cases By Source to design a custom solution that allows users to conveniently and securely tote a power supply, wireless router and recording device in a self-contained unit that provides access to the connected equipment right through the case.

The effort was a collaborative one that yielded multiple design iterations and a finished product that meets all of the customer’s requirements. Our custom solution marries the best attributes of a custom-molded soft case with a more traditional soft-side case stitched like a backpack. The weatherproof case features interior custom cavities measured to fit each component’s contours and strategically cut for uninterrupted connectivity of the gear. Openings were added for antennae extension through the top of the case and vents were cut through custom-molded rubber to maintain the internal temperature of the powered-up mechanism.

This custom case solution has garnered a significant amount of attention and feedback from other customers looking to leverage the idea for hi-tech military and industrial applications.
